Can you recommend a book?

A question I have been asked on lots of occasions is, can I recommend a book on wedding reception planning? Whilst there are lots of books out there about weddings that just say book a DJ or band. and that's it.  Now there is more to a reception than that. Thankfully a friend of mine, Peter Merry, has written a book about entertainment at weddings, which I recommend to all brides. Best Wedding Reception Ever!: Your Guide to Creating an Unforgettably Fun Celebration

"For years, bridal magazines, wedding planner books, and wedding focused television programs have explored every facet of wedding celebrations except for one the fun!
In this ground breaking book, nationally known wedding entertainer Peter Merry shines some light on the subject of how to create fun and entertaining wedding receptions.
- Offers detailed information on finding the right vendors for reception entertainment details.
- Explains how to map out an agenda with perfect pacing and guest involvement."

Best wishes

Explicit lyrics

Just looking at this weeks Big Top 40 and the following songs have explicit lyrics. Regardless of whether you like these songs or not, as a Bride or Groom would you be happy for songs with swearing to be played at your party?

Labrinth - Earthquake
Rihanna - Your the one
Professor Green - read all about it
Lloyd - dedicated to my ex
drake - Take care

Would love to hear your thoughts.

One of the most frequent reasons for choosing a DJ

One of the most frequent reasons for choosing a particular DJ was a professional approach.

Professional:
1. This is demonstrated in the way enquiries are responded to such as telephone manner or a correctly written email response.
2. Provides written confirmation of all bookings with a contract.
3. Offer evidence of documents such as Public Liability Insurance and Portable Appliance Testing.
4. If they are a member of a trade body such as National Association of DJ's (NADJ).  This shows that you take your job seriously and promotes further confidence.

At http://www.theweddingdjs.co.uk we are proud members of NADJ, and as such one of the conditions is that members are covered by £10 million PLI and all equipment is PAT tested.
